The NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin from the National Testing Agency (NTA) asks for a recent passport-size photograph, a signature, and images of the left and right hand fingers and thumb, besides PDF documents. The bulletin also asks for the passport-size photo to be taken after 1 January 2026.
For the photograph, 80% of the image should be your face, without a mask, with both ears visible, against a white background. It can be in colour or black & white and must be a JPG/JPEG of 10 KB to 200 KB. The bulletin does not fix a pixel size; the tool above makes a standard 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo (413 × 531 px). Use the zoom slider so your face fills most of the frame.
The signature must be a JPG/JPEG of 10 KB to 100 KB. The finger and thumb impression images are separate uploads. Also keep 6–8 passport-size and 4–6 postcard-size (4" × 6") colour prints of the same photo with a white background: you will need them at the exam centre.
How to resize your NEET UG photo and signature
- Photo tab: tap "Choose photo" and pick a recent photo with a white background (taken after 1 January 2026).
- Zoom with the slider until your face fills about 80% of the frame, ears visible. Drag to centre it.
- Tap "Download JPG". The size shown under the button will be between 10 and 200 KB.
- Signature tab: sign on white paper with a black pen, take a photo, and tap "Download JPG" (10–100 KB).
- Upload both files in the NEET form and check the preview before final submission.
Common mistakes that get the form rejected
- Face too small in the photo, or ears hidden by hair. NTA asks for 80% face including ears.
- Mask, cap or dark glasses, or a coloured or dark background instead of white.
- An old photo. The bulletin asks for a photo taken after 1 January 2026, and you must look the same on exam day.
- Signature in a different style from the one you will sign in the exam hall.
- Uploading the finger/thumb image in the signature box or vice versa.
