Privacy Policy
This policy explains what CropKaro (“we”, “the site”) does with information when you use it. We have tried to describe exactly what the site really does, in plain words.
1. Your PDFs and photos
When you choose a PDF or photo, it is opened and processed inside your own browser. The file itself is never uploaded to our servers — the site has no upload server at all.
2. History on your device
If History is switched on, the finished results you create (for example a cropped card or a document page) are saved in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB) on your device, up to the newest 25 items. They are never sent to us. You can delete single items, clear everything, or switch History off from the History window. If you use a shared or public computer, please clear History before you leave.
3. No accounts
The site has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for or store your name, email address or password.
4. Messages you send us
If you write to us by email or WhatsApp from the Contact page, we receive what you send through that service, only so that we can read and answer it.
5. Cookies and local storage
- Settings in your browser: your theme (light/dark), your choice to save History and your answer to the cookie notice are remembered in local storage on your device.
- The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Advertising cookies may be set by Google once ads are switched on (see below).
6. Advertising: Google AdSense
This site is intended to show advertisements served by Google AdSense. When ads are active, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can control personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. You can also change cookie settings in your browser at any time.
7. Other services your browser contacts
To work, the site loads the PDF libraries (pdf.js and jsPDF) from public content delivery networks (cdnjs.cloudflare.com or cdn.jsdelivr.net). When your browser requests them, those services can see your IP address and browser details, as with any website. The font is loaded from Google Fonts in the same way. Our hosting provider also processes ordinary server logs needed to run the site.
8. Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Your choices
You can switch History off, clear your browser storage, block cookies, or ask us to delete any message you sent us.
10. Changes to this policy
If the site changes how it handles information (for example when ads are switched on), we will update this page and its date. Questions? Please use the Contact page.
