The CUET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin from NTA asks you to capture a live photograph while filling the form and also to upload a recent scanned passport-size photograph and your signature.
The photo must be in colour with 80% face (including ears, without a mask) against a white background, in JPG/JPEG format between 10 KB and 200 KB. The signature limit is lower than NEET and JEE: 10 KB to 50 KB. Many students reuse their JEE/NEET signature file and get an error because it is above 50 KB; the CUET tab above keeps it inside 10–50 KB.
No pixel size is given in the bulletin, so the tool uses a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo (413 × 531 px) and a 3.5 × 1.5 cm signature.
How to resize your CUET UG photo and signature
- Photo tab: tap "Choose photo" and pick a recent colour photo with a white background.
- Zoom so your face fills about 80% of the frame and both ears are visible.
- Tap "Download JPG" (10–200 KB).
- Signature tab: photograph your signature on white paper and tap "Download JPG" (10–50 KB).
- Upload both files in the CUET form and capture the live photo.
Common mistakes that get the form rejected
- Using a signature file above 50 KB (fine for NEET/JEE, too big for CUET).
- Black & white photo, mask, cap or sunglasses.
- Face too small in the photo, or ears covered.
- Background not white, or a selfie with a room behind you.
